ATTRACTIONS

Deoghar is a holy city beside the Mayurakshi River, in the east Indian state of Jharkhand. The ancient Baba Baidyanath Temple complex is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. Nearby, Shiv Ganga is a sacred pool where devotees of Shiva bathe. There is a shrine to Krishna in the ornate, stone-carved Naulakha Mandir temple. Northeast of town, Harila Jori is the site of a whitewashed Shiva temple and a sacred water tank.

Baidyanath Dham

The Baidyanath Jyotirlinga temple, commonly referred to as the Baidyanath Dham, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India and is considered to be the most sacred abode of Lord Shiva. Located in Deoghar division of the state of Jharkhand, the large and magnificent temple complex comprises of the main temple of Baba Baidyanath, where the Jyotirlinga is installed, along with twenty-one other significant and beautiful temples.

Nandan Pahar

Nandan Pahar is an amusement park built on top of a hill in the district of Deoghar in Jharkhand, India. It is famous as a picnic spot with several activities for one and all. One can have fun on one of the joy rides or go boating in the region or offer their prayers at the Nandi Temple. The park has frequent visitors from nearby localities from almost all age groups because there is something for everyone here. Sunrises are a treat to the eyes as the rising sun sets its rays towards the earth to illuminate every corner of Nandan Pahar. Sunsets are mesmerising too as the sun gently fades away letting the starlit skies take over.

Naulakha Mandir

The Naulakha Mandir is located in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Famous for the Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple, this temple is just 1.5 km from the main temple. 146 ft high, this temple is edicated to Radha-Krishna. Since its construction cost Rs. 9 lakhs, it is also known as Naulakha (Nine-Lakh) temple. This temple is very similar to the Temple of Ramakrishna in Belur.

Basukinath

Located in the Dumka district of Jharkhand on the Deoghar-Dumka state highway, Basukinath is a popular place of worship for Hindus. The most famous attraction at Basukinath is undoubtedly the Basukinath Temple, and lakhs of pilgrims visit the temple each year from all parts of the country to worship Lord Shiva, who is the presiding deity. The crowd at magnificent the temple drastically increases in the month of Shravan, when not only local and national tourists but also international visitors visit.
